Does being rich makes someone happier than being poor? would money would make your life easier?

“The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant,  speaks about wanting more than you have. A poor

woman named Madame Losiel who went through tough times in her life.  She saw herself as a

poor woman coming from a poor family. In the story, The main characters are Madame Losiel

and her husband. Her husband worked for the Ministry of Education Madame Losiel dreamed

about having fine things her husband couldn't provide and this cause her unhappiness.

Madame Losiel was a pretty and charming woman who lived a very poor life with her family. She always dreamed of marrying a rich man having a rich life and, having rich things. Her husband couldn't provide these things for her. Madame losiel was very disappointed that her husband couldn't provide her the life she wanted. Women made fun of her for wearing poor clothing. Madame losiel was depressed when the women mocked her. She knew that she deserve finner things. She often imagined anterooms heavy with “Oriental tapestries, lit by torches in lofty bronze sockets, with two tall footmen in knee-breeches sleeping in large arm-chairs, overcome by the heavy warmth of the stove.”

Madame Losiel's husband was generous, hard working and always wanted to please her. He had a good job working at the Ministry of Education. Although he was a hard worker he could not offer  Mademe Losiel the life she wanted. He knew his wife was unhappy because of this. Her husband often thought of ways to remind her was ok living the life she had.

One day her husband came home with an invitation to go to his company party. The husband thought this would cheer her up.  Madame Losiel was not pleased because she had nothing to wear and did not want to embarrass herself by showing up with unfashionable clothing. Her husband came up with a brilliant idea; go to Mathilde and borrow jewelry. Madame loisel recieved the diamond and felt she looed good enough to attend the party.  When the party was over it was discovered that the jewelry was missing.  Madame Losiel’s husband went back to look for the jewelry.  He was not able to find it.  He then said that they had to replace it.

Madame Losiel is a charming but greedy woman. Her actions make her seem very honest and kind. Madame Losiel always thought of having to marry a wealthy man and good luxury. Other People think of her as helpless poor girl. Madame Losiel changed because she got used of having a poor life because they used up all their money to pay back the jewelry. One of the possible theme in “The Necklace” is when Madame Losiel’s husband sent her went to the store to buy a diamond and then Mathilde and Madame losiel loses the necklace and goes into debt to replace it. Mathilde realize that the necklace was a fake. Mathilde spends ten years in debt paying for it.

The irony of story was that Madame Losiel got even poorer by having pay back the jewelry she had lost. After that, she decided to get used to her poor life. Another example of  irony in the story is that wanting to live as life of a rich woman and ended up musch poorer than before. the beginning of the story Madame Losiel was poor and she always wanted to have good luxury so she borrowed jewelry to let other woman think she’s rich.

the conclusion is that Madame losiel knew the diamond was fake so they were honest enough to find another one to replace it. Madame losiel knew being rich would make her happy but, she was satisfied with what she had and preferred not to have luxury. So went back home happy with her husband.

  Why is Aztec so impressive?

Aztec civilization is located in Central America. The people were known for their unique architecture. Their architecture is still marveled to this day. Aztec’s introduced foods that are still here today. They were one of the first societies to have mandatory education for their kids.  The Aztecs were so impressive I think its way better than Inca.

The Aztec architecture was simple to the people. They use mixed colors and symbols that helped create a unique style. Temples were a masterpiece of the Aztec empire but there is much more to Aztec architecture than just these mighty temples. Tenochtitlan was the main Aztec city built on top of another city Teotihuacan. "Tenochtitlan was built around the 14th up to the 16th Century. Back in those times, it was the third largest city in the world with a population that grew to around 200,000 people."

The supply of food products allowed the Aztec population to trade other than food production. Women played a large role, they took care of domestic food production, and they weaved textiles from agave fibers and cotton. The Aztecs built Chiampa’s; Chiampa’s were swampy patches of earth where food was grown. They were surrounded by canals which were from water forming between them.

"For their time Aztecs had a very good education system inwhich boys and girls had to go to schools. There were three different schools for children, a noble boy’s school; this is where the middle class and commoner children went to school. The girls learned about religion, cooking, sewing, weaving, childcare, religious dances." The boys could choose either a calmecac or a cuicacalli. The cuicacalli was a school close to a military school. If you were in the noble class, you attended a calmecac.  This was a school for noble children that were connected to the temples. The children learned to govern and learn more about the history and ways of their elders. Learning in the calmecac was essential for advancement within the royal government. Calmecac pupils also had extra religious duties, as well as lessons in history, astronomy, poetry, and writing.

I find the Aztec civilization impressive because we can learn a lot from them.  The Aztecs has influenced us to this day.  Many foods grown by them such as beans, tomatoes and squash were introduced to us, time and calendar and agriculture were also influenced by the Aztecs.

The Atomic model

The Plum Pudding Model was created by JJ Thomson. The shape of the model is very round and the color of it is purple . He modeled the atom as a ball of positive charge containing electrons in it. This model was good  for explaining the electrical properties of the atoms, but it did not include protons or neutrons. It also did not explain how electrons can be stripped to form ions.

The Rutherford model was created by Erenest Rutherford in the early 1900s. The model shows nucleus of with electrons in the empty space around the nucleus. Erenest Rutherford's model fixed the errors of the model that was made by JJ Thomson. it explained clearly about  protons and neutrons and arrangement and how electrons could be stripped. The only problem was that they couldn't tell if the electrons were negatively charged or the nucleus was positively charged.

Bohr Model was created by Niels Bohr in 1913. The Model shows the electrons in concentric circles around the nucleus. It explains the electrons in each energy level have a fixed amount of energy. It shows each energy level can only hold a certain number of electrons. While this model fixed all of the problems with the previous models, it only worked perfectly to explain all atoms well.

The Guantum Model was created by Erwin Schrödinger. The model explains where the electrons would exist. The model was influenced by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle that states you cannot know the exact position and speed of an electron. Schrodinger's Wave Equation solved  the quantum numbers that explain the electron cloud's shape and position.
